If it’s one thing I love to do with my daughter, its reading books to her. She gets super excited and loves to pick out which books to read. We are always looking for new books so it was awesome to have received this box from Bookroo to review.

So What is Bookroo?

Bookroo is a monthly subscription that helps children fall in love with books. There are usually two to three books in the box that are individually wrapped like a present which makes it a fun surprise.

Their mission is to encourage and empower parents to build a nice book collection for their children in a way that is fun and also affordable. This is definitely something I can stand by.

Here is what it looks like when you first open the box. There is a little pamphlet that tells you about the books that you received.

Here is what Bookroo offers:

They have personal and gift subscriptions where you can choose the plan of:

  • 1 Month
  • 3 Months
  • 6 Months
  • Or 12 Months

Here are the options of the type of books you can choose based on your child’s age:

  • Board books (ages 0-3), 3 books per box
  • Picture books (ages 2-6), 2 books included per box
  • Chapter books (ages 7-10), 2 books per box

I have the board books since my daughter is 2 years old. Like I mentioned before they are all individually wrapped. It gives it a sense of surprise and also makes them feel personal. Here is an example:

Here are the books!

Bookroo Books

I was really excited to get these. They are colorful and interactive which is perfect for a 2-year old.  She was eager to get her hands on them when I helped her unwrap them.

Bookroo Peekaboo in the Farm

This one is Peekaboo! On the Farm. It has flaps you open up to see who is hiding. It is interactive and my daughter has a ball with it when I read it to her. She gets really excited to see which animals are hiding.

Bookroo Arf! Buzz! Cluck!

This is Arf! Buzz! Cluck! A Rather Noisy Alphabet. From letters A to Z, you learn about animal sounds. I am currently teaching my 2-year-old her ABCs so this book is a silly and fun way to learn them.

Bookroo My Backpack!

This one is My Backpack! another interactive book for children. It’s a lift-the-flap book so when the animals show their backpacks you flip the little flap and see what they have inside. My daughter loves it.

Daughter Showing Book Bookroo

So far I have been pleased with the books and so has my daughter. If you like to read books to your child and build up a collection for them then Bookroo is the way to go.
