Honestly, there are a lot of things I absolutely need in my bag but that would be a long list because my diaper bag is pretty much my purse. I thought I would narrow it down to the top 5 things I really need to have in it. Let’s start off with…Ding Ding Ding! You guessed it!
Ok. This one is super obvious. Depending on where I am going, I usually keep about 3 to 5 diapers in my bag. I don’t know if this is weird or not but I put the diapers in a big ziplock bag. I noticed whenever I had them just thrown in my bag and my baby girl would put them on, she would get rashes. So I had the idea to just put them in that ziplock bag and it pretty much solved the problem. But anyways I always have a stash of diapers in there.
Wipes are another obvious one. These are for those sticky little hands and faces. I would use them myself sometimes. I never realized how useful and convenient wipes were until I had a baby.
No matter where I go, I always bring extra clothes for my daughter. Accidents happen and they happen a lot. Whether they are happy little accidents or not, that’s up to you and Bob Ross to decide. They either pee through their diaper, spill juice all over themselves or throw up. It happens so we need to come prepared.
I always have to have some kind of snack in the bag especially if we are taking a long trip or will be out and about all day. Sometimes we will be somewhere and little bit doesn’t want anything there so I give her a snack to hold her up until we get home or until we find something else for her to eat.
In my bag is a variety of little toys and small books for her to entertain herself with. This comes in handy whenever you are at the doctor’s office or taking a long ride. I try to limit screen time with her as much as I can so I look for something tangible for her to play with.
This is just my top 5 things in my diaper bag that I can’t live without and there are plenty more where that came from. Do you have something in your diaper bag you must have before walking out the house? Let me know in the comments!
