Hello! This is just a short list of reasons why I started a blog. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile but had not taken the step to actually do it. But here I am taking that step and I wanted to share the reasons why. There are just so many reasons to start one but I decided to just narrow it down to five. Maybe something on this list you can relate to.
To have a creative writing outlet
I may not be the best writer but I really love to write. Especially when I was in high school. I would write small stories. Some were based on either shows or books and others were stories I created all on my own.
I also kept a diary to write in. It is therapeutic in a way and relaxing. I’ve been through a lot in my life and writing helped me through some of it.
When deciding to blog, I thought of it as a way to express myself in a creative way especially with me being shy.
To become a better writer
Like I mentioned earlier, I am not a good writer but I just love writing. Even though I’ve been taught how to write back when I went to school, I hope that through my blog my writing skills will improve.
I also hope that being able to write better will be beneficial to me in the future as well if I ever wanted to write a book.
To share my story and experiences
As a 25-year-old, who is married and has a child, I would love to share my experiences with others. Being a mama is tough but also wonderful. I want to be able to relate to other moms who may have gone through the same experiences that I have.
Besides being a mom, I’m also a gamer. I’m not sure if I will be talking about that much on this blog but it might be fun to mention from time to time.
Whether you are married or single, have children or not, I hope that what I write can be an enjoyable or helpful read.
To earn some extra income
As a stay at home mom, blogging would be the perfect way for me to make some extra money at home. I’m honestly not trying to get rich or anything. I just want to be able to help pay bills and such.
Monetizing my blog will most likely take a while anyways so my focus will mostly be on writing content and building an audience. It will definitely be a learning experience.
To have fun and learn
Speaking of learning, I feel that there is a lot to dive into with a blog. I’ve learned so much useful information about domains, web hosting, web design, and more. It honestly has been really fun and exciting doing the research on what I need to do in order to start a blog.
It’s definitely something I am experimenting with and continuing to learn about.
So far it has been super fun designing my logo. Trying to make some Pinterest covers for some of my blog posts is fun as well. The design aspect of it is something I can pretty much just do all day long if I had the time.
I would like this to be a fun experience for my readers as well. 🙂
Hope you enjoyed this small list I made about why I started a blog. Let me know your reasons for blogging in the comments or if you want to just say hi.
